Ege University Media Publications Digital Archive

Founded in 1955, Ege University is one of Turkey’s well-established public universities, distinguished not only by its scientific output but also by its pioneering activities in the field of media and communication. Since its establishment, the newspapers, magazines, and bulletins prepared by various university departments, administrations, and students have served as invaluable documents reflecting Ege University’s institutional memory and communication culture.

The tradition of print media at Ege University has gone beyond being merely a means of communication; it has evolved into a distinctive school of thought that captures the pulse of university culture and academic life.

Today, through the efforts of the Ege University Media Practice and Research Center (EGEMM), all these publications—spanning from the university’s foundation to the present—have been compiled and made accessible to researchers and the public for the first time in digital format. This platform not only sheds light on the media history of Ege University but also reflects its commitment to institutional continuity, responsibility, and archival awareness.

With over 70 years of publishing experience, Ege University has embraced the mission of sharing knowledge and preserving it for future generations. Its accumulated expertise in the field of communication has always been carried forward with great diligence and dedication. This digital archive stands not only as a mirror of the past, but also as a scientific and cultural heritage that will inspire future media studies.
